Our Genesis

The Pigmatix Story: Solving the Film Converter's Dilemma

In the plastics compounding industry, most masterbatch producers take a "generalist" approach: running dozens of mismatched base polymers — Polypropylene (PP), High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE), Polystyrene (PS), and EVA — through the same extrusion hardware.

For flexible film extruders, this generalist approach is disastrous. When masterbatch carries mismatched polymer bases or trace residue from earlier production runs, it creates un-melted gels, haze variations, and catastrophic bubble ruptures on high-speed blown film lines.

Pigmatix was founded by Waqar Amin and Salman Sheikh with a singular, uncompromising mandate: eliminate carrier risk entirely. We dedicated our entire facility, screw designs, and feedstocks solely to Linear Low-Density Polyethylene (LLD and LLDPE) base resins.

Today, Pigmatix supplies masterbatches that blend invisibly and disperse homogeneously into blown film and bag extruders across the packaging sector, resulting in higher line speeds, virtually zero scrap rates, and brilliant visual clarity.

Waqar Amin

“Reliability in masterbatch isn't just about chemistry; it's about honoring commitments to the converters who run 24/7 extrusion lines and cannot afford five minutes of downtime.”

With a career rooted in industrial enterprise leadership and supply chain optimization, Waqar Amin orchestrates Pigmatix's commercial trajectory, raw material procurement strategies, and converter relationships.

His relentless focus on sourcing prime-grade, virgin LLDPE base resins guarantees that Pigmatix never compromises on feedstock quality, giving customers consistent supply economics and rock-solid delivery timelines.

Salman Sheikh

“We don't simply mix color into plastic; we engineer interfacial bonding between organic pigment particles and the Linear Low-Density Polyethylene matrix.”

Salman Sheikh spearheads research and compounding technology at Pigmatix. Bringing deep expertise in polymer rheology, twin-screw barrel temperature zoning, and additive dispersion chemistry, Salman personally oversees the technical formulation of each masterbatch grade.

His engineering vision established our strict in-house laboratory protocols — including continuous melt flow index testing, filter pressure values (FPV), and spectrophotometric color matching.

Guiding Principles

Our Mission & Vision

Original, purposeful commitments designed to advance the flexible plastics manufacturing sector.

Our Mission

To empower flexible packaging and film extruders with the purest, highest-dispersion masterbatch solutions compounded exclusively on LLD & LLDPE base resins.

We are dedicated to eliminating extrusion defects, eliminating line shut-downs caused by cross-contamination, and maximizing converter yield through strict feedstock discipline, scientific compounding rigor, and transparent technical collaboration.

Our Vision

To be recognized globally as the gold standard in specialized polyethylene masterbatch manufacturing.

We envision an industrial ecosystem where converters never have to compromise on film opacity, dart impact, or bubble stability — recognized by packaging buyers as the indispensable technical partner behind high-performance films worldwide.

The Pigmatix Core Values

01

Uncompromising Carrier Purity

We say NO to incompatible carriers. Compounding solely on LLD & LLDPE guarantees molecular alignment and zero cross-contamination risk.

02

Dispersive Precision

Every pigment agglomerate must be sheared down to primary particle size, ensuring flawless optical tinting without pinholes or lacing.

03

End-to-End Lot Traceability

Every single 25kg bag and pallet is tracked from prime virgin resin railcar through gravimetric dosing to warehouse dispatch.

04

Converter-Centric Partnership

We work directly alongside your extrusion line operators and quality managers, tailoring melt index and formulation to your exact die specifications.
